The 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers were the team that brought an end to years of anguish for Brooklyn fans with a long awaited World Series championship. In 7 games, the Dodgers defeated the powerhouse New York Yankees for their one and only title before moving to Los Angeles for the 1958 season. The World Series featured dueling regular season MVP catchers Roy Campanella and Yogi Berra, and also named a Series MVP for the first time, Johnny Podres.

This poster measures 18” x 24” and has no holes or tears. There is some creasing from age and storage that is visible in the photo. It features a team photo of the 1955 Dodgers at Ebbets field, as well as the poem “Hometown Piece for Messrs. Alston and Reese” by Pulitzer Prize winner Marianne Moore.
